Cannabis Chaos: ‘Terrorists Attacking the Brain’?
By Denton Ramsey, Director of Volunteers/NORML of Waco
“Speechless” may be an understatement when asking how I feel in response to the latest reefer madness coming out of Washington.
Honestly, I’d rather laugh than cry.
According to a recent report that truly reeks of shiz, smoking marijuana is like “terrorists attacking the brain.”
Come on now; seriously?
As a daily podcast listener of both The John Doe Radio Show and NORML Show Live, this latest reefer madness news both shocked and stunned me.
But in all actuality, this news shouldn’t surprise me; this country has been shoving BS propaganda to the general public through radio, television, and the internet for years.
Hell, I was even scared to death of “pot” growing up; truly believing what McGruff the Crime Dog and DARE had taught me at school: smoking marijuana was like smoking crack, and people that did that were crazy.
Sadly, YES; I BELIEVED THAT NONSENSE!
The reefer madness must end; there’s no reason whatsoever that Americans should be concerned or scared to speak out and give their views and open opinions on legalizing marijuana.
Of course, we all know that isn’t the case; and that’s because this country has shoved a fear factor down our throats for the past gazillion years that basically teaches us to keep our mouths shut.
But that too is a bunch of BS.
And all that shiz is absolutely about to hit the fan.
Gary Johnson for President in 2012!
Now I’m truly beginning to feel like J-Doe: Where was I going with all this?
Oh yeah, the chronic chaos; reefer madness; whatever the fark you want to call it.
It should come as no surprise that our government and our elected officials have backed the nonsense taught by DARE instructors and viewed in daily commercials regarding cannabis consumers and the image that paints “pot-heads” into “crazy, lunatic losers with no positive impact in today’s society.”
What a load of crap!
America wholeheartedly endorses alcohol with open arms, yet shuns those who decide on a safer alternative in cannabis.
Let’s stop the madness.
It begins, and ends, with individual involvement.
This country is on the brink of legalizing marijuana once and for all; but it starts with a NORML cause.
And will hopefully end with a glorious smoke-out once America finally wakes up and smells the ganja!
