Twenty-First Century Twilight Zone: Cannabis Cancer Facts Here Today, Gone Tomorrow…

By Denton Ramsey, NORML of Waco Inc. Director of Volunteers

For all the daily NORML Show Live listeners out there, I’m sorry if I’m starting to sound like an old broken record, but this latest news regarding cannabis cancer facts that are no longer on a government-run site is nothing short of scary.

In fact, I completely agree with Dr. Mitch Earleywine’s assessment of the situation when he stated, “this really breaks my heart … if we’re not allowed to tell the truth on our federal websites, its getting really scary as far as I’m concerned.”

Scary is probably an understatement; our own government withholding the truth from the nation is nothing new, but doing so in this form and fashion is more reminiscent of Nazi-times in Germany compared to current-times in the United States of America.

And that’s more sad than scary.

Because fear is EXACTLY what our government wants.

Fear that cannabis will grow legs and attack you.

Fear that smoking marijuana will lead to the end of the world.

Or the ever-used and bull-shiz excuse of “we’re doing this for the safety of our children.”

Well guess farking what?

I am doing this for my children too.

I want my kids growing up in a country where they learn the truth about cannabis; not the propaganda and lies they feed to us on a daily basis.

Cannabis doesn’t kill; it saves and cures!

On a side note, I love how Deputy Director of NORML Paul Armentano used an orange as an analogy regarding the latest craze of Big Pharma “legalizing“ and “re-classifying” THC—the “psychoactive substance” found in cannabis.

Basically, Armentano said legalizing THC would be like legalizing Vitamin C—yet criminalizing those who decide to grow and eat and orange.

Wake up, America!

And wake up, world!
